We have had a great turnout at the first Freddies Chess Tournament – a whopping 40 competitors who fought fiercly to win the title of FGS Chess Champion. It has been an epic few weeks of chess with students showing great sportsmanship and support for their fellow peers. A prize has gone to both finalists. Our overall winner is: Oliver Blurton from Hardwick and Jed Gaitho was runner up. #SmashingIt From the result of an amazing turnout and demand for Chess we will now be running a weekly Chess Club at a lunchtime.
