Yesterday, our Year 10 students embarked on an exciting visit to West Notts College Derby Road Campus in Mansfield. This trip that provided them with valuable insights into their future education and career options.

Throughout the visit, students explored different subject areas, heard about potential career paths, and received practical advice on preparing for life after secondary school. The visit gave them a clearer understanding of what to expect from further education and how to make informed choices for their future. Students were guided around the impressive site by a wonderful team who ensured that our students were able to experience the college’s offerings in a well-organized and informative manner.

We are extremely proud of the way our students conducted themselves, representing our school with respect and attentiveness. Their positive attitudes were noted by the staff at West Notts College, and it was a pleasure to see them taking full advantage of this opportunity.

A special thank you goes to Beth Cope for her leadership of the day and to Steph, Lewis, and Maddie, our guides, for making the experience so enjoyable and informative for our students. Beth is regular visitor to Fredrick Gent and is becoming a key part of our extended family. We really appreciate her time and knowledge. This visit has certainly given our Year 10s much to think about as they start considering their next steps in education.

We look forward to future collaborations with West Notts College and will continue to provide our students with opportunities to explore their options and plan for their futures.
