At Frederick Gent School, we are thrilled to offer our GCSE Geography students an incredible opportunity to embark on fieldwork along the East Yorkshire Coast. This carefully planned excursion is specifically designed to enhance their understanding of coastal erosion management, various rock formations, and the strategies implemented to combat erosion.
Our students who participated in this excursion had an absolutely fantastic experience. They were able to witness firsthand the practical applications of coastal management techniques and observe the diverse rock types found along the coastline. Stepping outside the confines of the classroom, they gained invaluable insights that will undoubtedly strengthen their knowledge for upcoming exams and coursework.
We were fortunate that the weather favoured us throughout the trip. The students enjoyed favourable conditions, which further enhanced their ability to fully engage in the learning experience and make the most of this invaluable opportunity.
At Frederick Gent School, we take immense pride in providing enriching educational opportunities that go beyond traditional classroom learning. Field trips like this enable our students to connect with their subjects on a deeper level and cultivate a greater appreciation for the world around them. We remain committed to offering such transformative experiences that empower our students and foster a lifelong love for learning.
