Curriculum Intent
As part of the PSHE Curriculum all students will participate in relationship and sex education (RSE). This involves teaching children about reproduction, sexuality and sexual health. It does not promote early sexual activity or any particular sexual orientation. Some parts of sex and relationship education are compulsory – these are part of the national curriculum for science. If required, parents have the right to withdraw their children from other parts of relationship and sex education if they wish by providing a written request to the Curriculum Leader for PSHE – Miss G.Smith (gemma.smith@frederickgent.ttct.co.uk). All parents are informed of the sessions in advance of each programme commencing.
